Cyberbullying

Have you been bullied lately? Bullying doesn't just come in 1 form. It can be through mobile phone messages or the most commonly found emails / MSN.

What is Cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is another form of bullying just that it comes in the form of emails, MSN messages, online polls etc.
It is very commonly found, especially in this world of high technology.
If you aren't sure if you've been cyberbullied, look through the checklist and click on the links below to help you better understand the term CYBERBULLYING.

  • Unusually long hours on the computer
  • Clearing the screen when you enter room
  • Secretive Internet activity (won’t say who they're chatting with)
  • Getting behind in school work
  • Lack of appetite, headaches or Stomachaches
  • Trouble Sleeping
  • Fear of leaving the house, especially to go to school
  • Appears upset after Internet use.
  • Hesitation to get online
  • Cries for no apparent reason
  • A marked change in attitude, dress or habits

What to do if you're Cyberbullied?

Fret not! Here are some simple actions which you can take to prevent and stop CYBERBULLYING.
  1. do not disclose your personal details to anyone you don't know
  2. do not respond to abusive or nasty emails and messages
  3. save a copy of those abusive or nasty emails and show it to a trusted adult
  4. block those people who have sent you those emails and messages

Are you hooked onto online games?

Many people are into online gaming. Studies have proven that what started as a tool for relaxation can lead to an addiction if it is not carried out in moderation. Gaming addiction not only harms your health(increase possibility of mental disorder), it also affects family and friends bonding. Waste no time!Look through the checklist below and do seek help if needed!

Signs of Online Gaming Addiction

  1. Inability to stop the activity
  2. Neglect of family and friends
  3. Lying to friends and family about activities
  4. Problems with school or job
  5. Carpal tunnel syndrome
  6. Dry Eyes
  7. Failure to attend to personal hygiene
  8. Sleep disturbances or changes in sleep patterns
  9. Feeling empty, depressed, irritable when not at the computer
  10. Craving more and more time at the computer
  11. Shows signs of violence
